BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe
4-5 lb. pork shoulder
1 can of pop
soft sandwich buns
Place the pork shoulder and a can of pop in the crock pot on low for 8-10 hours* until fork tender. Remove pork from crock pot and let stand for 10 minutes. Shred the pork with 2 forks and serve on buns with barbecue sauce.
*Time will depend on the size of the pork shoulder. The time required is roughly 2 hours per pound.
Note: To save time, the pork shoulder can also be cooked on high for 4-5 hours.
Fill split top hot dogs buns with the bbq pulled pork and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the sandwiches in the oven at 350 Fahrenheit until the cheese melts.
Or add a little southern flavor by topping the pulled pork with coleslaw.
