NEW ALBANY, Ohio – The Ohio Pork Council is pleased to welcome Saydee Baughman to the staff as the organization’s Office Manager, beginning January 16, 2023.
“On behalf of the Ohio Pork Council Board of Directors and staff, we are excited to welcome Saydee Baughman to our dynamic team,” said Cheryl Day, Executive Vice President. “Baughman has the industry knowledge and relationship-building skills to fulfill essential functions to effectively serve all Ohio pig farmers.”
As a valuable team member, Baughman serves as the instrumental person administrating technical aspects for the organization’s programming along with assisting members with special projects.
Baughman joins the Ohio Pork Council with a passion for agriculture built only through time in the industry. Raised in Muskingum County, Ohio, Baughman was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA. Baughman volunteers as the Vice President of the John Glenn FFA Alumni, an advisor for Muskingum County 4-H, and serves on the Muskingum County junior fair livestock committee. These experiences combined with passion for the industry instilled the drive to be an advocate for agriculture seen in her now.
“I look forward to this opportunity,” said Baughman. “I’m excited to expand my network in the industry. I can’t wait to see what opportunities Ohio Pork council brings me.”
Prior to accepting the role of Office Manager, Baughman attended The Ohio State University – graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and Applied Economics in May of 2021.
